In 2019, our Erasmus + project “Following in the Footsteps of others” was selected. This Project was to be carried out in collaboration with the German Gymnasium Anna-Sophianeum, from Schöningen (Germany)
The main target of our Project was to study migratory flows between Spain and Germany, as well as to carry out research on the reasons, conditions and present situation of the migrants. In addition, we would find out the role of the institutions which are involved.
The project was initially thought to be developed from September 1, 2019 to November 30, 2020. Everything happened as scheduled until March 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic and the declaration of the State of Alarm forced a change in our plan of activities. First, we applied for a change in the endurance of the Project for six months (up to May 2021). However, the persistence of the pandemic situation in 2021 obliged to change the remaining physical activities (second mobility) into virtual.
This project was coordinated by Mr. Martin Wagener, at the German high school, and Mr. David Hinojar, at the Spanish high school, and was possible thanks to the support of both schools’ managing teams and the participation of a large group of teachers, students and their families. Thanks to all of them.
